Day 1

Arrive in Zanzibar

  • Meet your driver at Zanzibar airport or the ferry terminal and transfer to your confirmed hotel. The day is kept light for arrival, with time to settle in and review the coming days. Flight and ferry tickets are quoted separately. Overnight: Zanzibar hotel. Meals: breakfast from the following morning; arrival meals at your own expense.

Day 2

Stone Town and spice country

  • Explore Stone Town with a local guide, including its historic lanes, market and waterfront. Continue to a spice farm for a guided walk and introduction to the island’s crops. Travel onward to your beach hotel if your plan changes base today. Overnight: Zanzibar hotel. Meals: breakfast; lunch and dinner at your own expense.

Day 3

Jozani Forest and the southeast coast

  • Walk with a guide through Jozani’s forest and mangrove habitats, then continue to Jambiani for a locally guided village introduction. Enjoy a leisurely coastal lunch at your own expense. Return to your hotel with time by the pool or beach. Overnight: Zanzibar beach hotel. Meals: breakfast.

Day 4

A guided reef excursion

  • Take a weather-dependent boat trip to permitted reefs near Mnemba. Snorkelling equipment and flotation aids are provided; guests can choose to remain on the boat. There is no landing on private Mnemba Island. Return ashore and relax at your hotel. Overnight: Zanzibar beach hotel. Meals: breakfast; other meals at your own expense.

Day 5

Departure transfer

  • Enjoy breakfast and check out at the hotel’s agreed time. Your driver transfers you to Zanzibar airport or the ferry terminal for your separately booked onward journey. Any late checkout is subject to availability and extra cost. Meals: breakfast. No overnight stay included tonight.
