Read the payment schedule alongside your personal written quotation. Tartaruga Safaris confirms the agreed services and terms before requesting a deposit.
Safari payment schedule
The standard safari deposit is 20% of the total price after confirmation. A further 50% is due 30 days before arrival. The final 30% is due seven days before arrival, or may be paid in cash on arrival when agreed in writing in advance. A different agreed schedule is recorded in the booking confirmation.
Climbing and children
Climbing bookings may use an initial USD 100–200 deposit under the agreement for that booking. The amount and whether it applies per booking or per climber must be written on the invoice. Our stated child policy is free travel for ages 0–4; the quotation must identify any separate airline, accommodation or activity charges that apply.
Requesting cancellation
Notify info@tartarugasafaris.com in writing as soon as possible. The cancellation date is the date your written notice is received. We will acknowledge it and explain the calculation against your agreed booking.
Cancellation charge bands
The supplied policy gives no cancellation charge when notice is received 40 or more days before arrival; 50% when received 21–39 days before arrival; and 100% when received 20 days or fewer before arrival. These bands apply to accommodation and related services covered by that policy. The unused portion of a safari or tour is not refundable. Any separately booked services with different terms must be identified before payment.
Payment and currency
Quotations are expressed in USD. Any agreed settlement in another accepted currency uses the rate stated on the invoice for that payment. Use our official Pesapal payment link only for a confirmed invoice. The total due, applicable payment fees and payment reference should be clear before you pay.
Questions before paying
