Materuni Waterfall & Coffee Day Trip

Duration

1 Day

Materuni Waterfall beyond a forest clearing — Tartaruga Safaris

Explore our Materuni waterfall and coffee day trip itinerary. Walk through the green hills of Materuni with a local guide, passing village homes and farms on the way to the waterfall. Enjoy the view and, if conditions and your guide allow, cool off in the natural pool. The mountain water can be very cold, and swimming is optional.

Your Materuni waterfall and coffee day trip itinerary

Back in the village, meet local hosts for a Chagga meal and a hands-on look at coffee growing and preparation, from coffee plants to roasting, grinding and tasting. You may buy coffee or locally made products directly from village sellers if you wish; purchases are optional.

A typical day includes pickup, a guided village and farm walk, the waterfall, a local meal, a coffee experience and return transfer. Tell us your preferred pace and pickup point in Moshi or Arusha. Bring shoes with grip, water and, if you hope to swim, swimwear and a towel. The exact host, trail conditions, meals, timing and inclusions are confirmed for your date.

Moshi or Arusha; we confirm your precise pickup and return point before booking.

  • Is it a private trip?

Private transport can be arranged for your party. Some host-led activities may also welcome other visitors; exclusivity must be specifically confirmed.

  • How many travellers can join?

Any group size can enquire. We choose suitable vehicles and check activity capacity for your actual party.

Tell us every child’s age. We check the host’s rules, activity suitability and any supplier charges before confirming.

  • What meals are included?

Lunch as quoted. Dietary requirements should be shared when you enquire; substitutions depend on what the host can provide.

  • What should I bring?

Bring suitable footwear, drinking water, sun protection and a light layer. We send any activity-specific advice with your confirmed plan.

Please describe the access you need. Vehicle entry, paths, toilets and the activity itself must be checked separately; we do not promise access before these checks.

  • What happens if the programme changes?
