Travel with our Tartaruga team

Our team will explain the departure arrangements before your journey and help you understand what to expect each day. Your guide brings the route to life through observation and conversation. Please share your interests, walking comfort and preferred daily pace when you enquire so that the proposal reflects your needs.

Accommodation and practical planning

The programme includes 2 overnight stays. Named accommodation and room arrangements will be confirmed in your written proposal. We confirm the services that are actually available for your dates before taking a booking. Tell us the number of adults, children’s ages, dietary requirements and any mobility needs. Room layouts, vehicle access and activity participation requirements vary, so they must be checked for your own party.

Keep time between flights and the start of your programme. Road conditions, weather and local arrangements can affect the order of activities. Optional experiences are available only when separately confirmed; they are not automatically included because they are mentioned as possibilities. Our aim is a clear proposal you can understand before committing.

Your Questions Answered

Is this a private or shared safari?
This is planned as a private safari with Tartaruga-arranged guiding. The displayed rate assumes six adults travelling together and sharing rooms. Couples, solo travellers and other group sizes receive a tailored quotation.
Which accommodation will we use?
The proposed level is Mid-range. We will name the actual properties or campsites, room types and locations in your written proposal. Availability, your dates and any family-room requirements must be checked before booking.
How demanding are the travel days?
Northern safari roads include dusty and uneven sections, and journeys into Serengeti can take much of a day. Your guide plans breaks. Let us know if you want fewer transfers or additional nights at one base.
Are wildlife sightings guaranteed?
No. Our guide will help you explore suitable habitats, but animals move freely. Neither the Big Five nor any individual sighting is guaranteed. Patient observation is part of the safari experience.
Are domestic flights included?
Only the domestic sectors explicitly listed in this itinerary are included in the planning estimate. Airline schedules, routing, seats and baggage limits must be confirmed in your final quotation. International flights are excluded.
What does the starting price mean?
The indicative starting price is USD 2,141 per person. The final quotation depends on dates, availability, party size and the exact services agreed.
What deposit is required?
The standard safari deposit is 20%, unless a different arrangement is agreed in writing. Your proposal will confirm the payment schedule and applicable booking terms before you pay.
Can you accommodate dietary or accessibility needs?
Tell us about dietary needs, allergies, mobility requirements and any equipment you use. We will check the specific vehicle, accommodation and activities with providers. Accessibility or halal arrangements are confirmed individually rather than assumed.
Can I customise this trip?
Yes. Tell us what you want to change: duration, pace, accommodation or additional destinations. Our team will explain the effect on travel time and prepare an updated quotation. Changes are subject to availability.
How do I enquire or book?
Use Booking Now or the Enquiry tab, email info@tartarugasafaris.com or WhatsApp +255 667 767 553. Include your dates, number of adults, children’s ages and preferred travel style. An enquiry does not confirm a reservation.
