Complete safari planning and support
We organise your Tanzania safari from the first enquiry to your departure. Our team plans the route, reserves accommodation, arranges guides, transport and activities, coordinates your arrival and keeps your onward travel in view. Explore northern, southern and western Tanzania, with island extensions or East Africa connections tailored to your dates.
Private wildlife safaris
Choose family journeys, honeymoons, solo travel, photography trips and private group safaris. We help balance wildlife time, road journeys and rest, with budget, midrange, luxury and high-end accommodation options. Our driver-guide supports you throughout the agreed safari programme.
Mountain climbing and trekking
Choose Kilimanjaro routes, three- or four-day Mount Meru climbs, Ol Doinyo Lengai adventures and other suitable hikes. We help you select a route and pace around your trekking experience, then arrange guides, accommodation and the services specified in your quotation.
Cultural experiences
Explore Materuni, Chagga communities, Maasai hosts, Hadzabe experiences, Mto wa Mbu and Olpopongi. We plan each visit with local hosts and guides, with time to learn, ask questions and enjoy the experience at a respectful pace.
Beach and island holidays
We arrange Zanzibar, Mafia and other island stays, including suitable Thanda and Mbudya experiences. Combine your beach holiday with a mainland safari, or ask for a standalone island break with accommodation, transfers and separately confirmed activities.
Local and regional flight reservations
We help reserve and book flights within Tanzania, including Zanzibar, and domestic or regional journeys involving Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda. Tell us your route, dates and baggage needs. We compare workable connections and explain the fare, baggage allowance and change conditions before ticketing; direct flights depend on the available schedules.
Bus reservations from Arusha
We arrange bus tickets from Arusha to other regions of Tanzania and available routes towards Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda. Connections may be required. Our booking-service fee is free for existing Tartaruga Safaris clients. For other customers it is USD 25 for the whole group booking—not per person. The fee is the same for one, two or fifteen travellers. Bus fares and any carrier charges are paid separately.
Dar es Salaam–Zanzibar ferry bookings
We assist with ferry reservations between Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar. We confirm the sailing, passenger names, ticket class, check-in requirements and any connecting transfer before booking. Ticket availability and departures depend on the operating company and conditions.
Private yachts and celebrations
We help arrange suitable yacht or boat charters for parties and private celebrations around Dar es Salaam, Mafia and Zanzibar. Tell us the date, group size and occasion. The vessel, crew, cruising area, food, music arrangements and weather alternatives are confirmed in your written proposal.
Kilimanjaro helicopter experiences
Ask us to arrange a scenic helicopter experience in the Kilimanjaro region. We coordinate the reservation and any quoted ground transfer with the operating company. Accommodation reservations
We reserve hotels, resorts, lodges, tented camps, tented lodges, hostels and campsites across the destinations we cover. Our accommodation collection includes Arusha, Moshi, Marangu, Karatu, Mto wa Mbu, safari parks, Dar es Salaam, Dodoma and the islands. We can also source other suitable properties; rooms and meal plans are confirmed for your dates.
Balloon safari reservations
We arrange balloon experiences where an operator offers them for your travel dates, including Serengeti options. We check the launch location against your overnight camp, transfer arrangements, eligibility and what the quoted experience includes. Launches depend on weather and the operator’s final decision.
Self-drive safari vehicle hire
We help reserve safari vehicles for guests who prefer to drive themselves. Tell us your intended route and rental dates. The rental supplier must confirm driver eligibility, insurance, security deposit, permitted roads, park use, equipment and cross-border permission where relevant. Vehicle availability and rental terms are provided before payment.
Travel-insurance assistance
If you need help finding travel insurance, we can point you towards providers and help you identify the trip activities to discuss with them. The insurer confirms cover, eligibility, exclusions and claims. Tell the provider about climbing altitude, evacuation, self-driving or other planned activities before buying a policy.
Airport transfers and onward travel
We arrange airport pickups, hotel transfers and onward journeys as part of your confirmed programme or as a separate reservation. Share your flight details and final destination so we can plan a sensible pickup and connection margin.
Special travel requirements
We help plan halal-friendly arrangements, family room needs, dietary requests and accessible travel. Describe the practical support you need so we can check it with guides, accommodation and activity providers. Requests are confirmed individually in your proposal.
