How to Book with Tartaruga Safaris
From your first enquiry to your final transfer, here is how we turn an idea into an agreed journey.
1. Tell us your idea
Send your preferred dates, number of adults, children’s ages, destinations and accommodation preference. Mention dietary or practical access requirements early. You can email info@tartarugasafaris.com or WhatsApp +255 667 767 553.
2. Receive a personal proposal
We prepare a route, accommodation suggestions and a written quotation. It explains inclusions, exclusions, room sharing and the price basis. Supplier availability is checked for your dates; a proposal is not the same as a confirmed reservation.
3. Refine and confirm
Review the daily pace, rooms, transfers and optional experiences with us. We record agreed changes and send the final booking details and applicable terms. Check the spelling of travellers’ names and the travel dates before we reserve services.
4. Pay the agreed deposit
The standard safari schedule is a 20% deposit, followed by 50% of the total cost 30 days before arrival and the final 30% seven days before arrival. Cash payment of the final balance on arrival requires prior agreement. Different arrangements, including climbing deposits, are specified in your written offer.
5. Prepare for travel
After confirmation, review your travel documents, insurance and activity requirements. Share arrival details and essential practical requests securely. We send your meeting arrangements and packing guidance. Do not put passport copies or sensitive medical records into a general website enquiry.
6. Meet your guide
Your confirmation tells you where and when to meet our representative. Your driver-guide helps with the agreed programme and explains the next day’s plan. Contact our team if flight times or onward arrangements change.
Changes and cancellations
Tell us in writing as soon as your plans change. The booking terms supplied with your confirmed reservation explain applicable charges, refunds and supplier conditions. Request written confirmation of any revised itinerary or payment agreement before relying on it.
