How to get there
Fly into Abeid Amani Karume International Airport or use a licensed ferry from Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar Town. We arrange a road transfer to your chosen hotel. A town stay is close to the arrival port; beach transfers vary with traffic and coast, so confirm flight and ferry timings before selecting a hotel.
Who it suits
Couples, honeymooners, families and safari travellers can all find a suitable base. Ask for a quieter hotel if nightlife is not your priority. Climate and when to visit
The coast is warm and humid throughout the year. June to October is generally drier; December to February is often hot, with sunshine between showers. March to May is usually wetter, and shorter rains often arrive around November. Trade winds, tides and local weather affect boat trips and swimming in every season.
